What's Required -- and When?

monthly fire pump no-flow/ churn test

✓ Verifies that the pump starts automatically without water discharge

✓ Checks controller function, signals, and basic operation

✓ Required monthly by NFPA 25

annual fire pump inspection/ flow test

✓ Full flow testing through test header or bypass loop

✓ Operational checks: pressure, controllers, and components

✓ Required annually for all fire pump systems

5-Year fire pump inspection/ testing

✓ Internal inspection for wear, corrosion, and blockages

✓ Full performance testing of all pump components

✓ Required every 5 years per NFPA 25
